I replaced myself with AI
Have you tried to do *everything* with AI in your daily work? As an data analyst/analytics engineer, I did, and I'm (still) here to tell you. I expected AI to hallucinate (a bit), in reality - I did (a lot). I thought the usage will come easier and easier the more I go, it was the opposite. Did my productivity increase? Yes, and I have a percentage. Join me for an honest look at my personal AI experiment, and walk away with (very) practical insights. In BlaBlaCar we're experimenting with AI on a lot of levels. This presentation is about personal productivity with AI. As a data analyst/analytics engineer/data engineer: should you do what I did? What are the traps along the way which you'd experience? How to avoid them? As a line manager, how should I push my team to use AI, and what is the cost of it? What sorts of training materials should I give my team before? As an AI leader, how the adoption goes and feels on the Individual contributor level? What hints it gives me to shape AI adoption strategy? The presentation will not provide all answers to those questions, but will serve as a foundation to do so. I will talk about what I did, how did it evolve in time (and still evolves to the point I'm writing it). I'm documenting everything: mistakes I started making, time saved (30% performance gain in first 2 months) and what I do with this time, mental effect it has on me and my tips on handling it... the experiment is not over!
