In 2016, Julien joined leboncoin as Head of the Backend team. Just one year after his arrival, he took over as Chief Technology Officer, leading a team of nearly 500 people — almost half of the staff of France’s leading website. Julien spearheaded the transformation of the organization, products, and technologies, elevating leboncoin to international standards of excellence and making it not only a French but also a European tech leader.

In 2022, he was appointed CPTO of Adevinta, Europe’s leading online classifieds group and parent company of leboncoin. He led the development of a unique international tech platform serving various group brands, built on leboncoin’s infrastructure. Within 18 months, the challenge was met: Adevinta’s organization was adapted, and the French platform evolved to support multiple brands, languages, and verticals.

In 2025, Julien returned as CTO of leboncoin to support the growth ambitions of the French classifieds leader. As a member of the company’s Executive Committee, he brings his international expertise along with his technical and functional knowledge.
