Eevamaija Virtanen is a lead data engineer and founding partner at Invinite, a health data company. She designs and builds modern data platforms with data-as-software methods, pragmatic data products and practical DataOps. She has delivered projects in healthcare, energy, e-commerce and digital services. She is one of the founding mothers of Helsinki Data Week and the founder of DataTribe Collective, Finland’s biggest independent data conference and communities. Her talks cut through hype and focus on what organizations need to connect data with humans, workflows and business outcomes. She has spoken at conferences and community events across Europe, the United States and Australia, and is a regular guest on podcasts, webinars and panels. She also co-hosts the Helsinki Data Mafia podcast with the HDW founding team. Before data, she worked as a flight attendant, spent a decade in business process outsourcing, systems development & change management, and has filmed and directed 10+ music videos for Finnish artists.
